What this measures
The management fee comes out of the fund before anything reaches you, every year, in every market. It is the one number on this site that is entirely certain in advance.
What it does not tell you
The management fee is not the whole cost. Trading expenses inside the fund and, where it holds foreign companies, tax withheld at source both reduce what you receive without appearing here. A fund of funds is ranked on what it actually costs — its own charge plus the weighted fees of everything it holds — rather than on the 0% it publishes for itself.

What matters is what your holdings paid you, on your cost base — track every distribution against the trades you actually made.
